Chinese New Year 2027 cut-off dates announced

Factories across China close for Chinese New Year from 5 February 2027, and most do not reopen until the 17th. Suppliers stop taking orders well before the shutters come down.

For sea freight the last booking we can accept is 18 January. Anything later misses the final sailing before the holiday and waits until March. Air freight runs longer — 1 February is the cut-off — but capacity tightens and prices climb through late January.

If you have a large order planned, place it in the first half of January. We will hold it in our China warehouse and consolidate it into the last sailing.

The Indonesia to China direction is less affected, since Indonesian suppliers keep working. Customs clearance on the Chinese side does slow during the holiday week, so allow a few extra days for delivery rather than for despatch.
